Bahamas
Our visit to the Bahamas came by sea — gliding across turquoise waters aboard a cruise ship that seemed to float between worlds of endless blue. When we docked in Freeport, the day unfolded in a wash of sunshine, sea breeze, and that unmistakable island rhythm. Colourful markets buzzed with life, palm trees swayed lazily along the shore, and the scent of salt and coconut lingered in the air. It was a day to slow down, to wander without hurry, and to soak in the easy charm of island life — a glimpse of the Bahamas’ warmth and beauty that lingered long after we sailed away.

Canada
From March 2010 to November 2012, I called Calgary home — a city that sat perfectly between everyday life and the wild, untamed beauty of the Rockies. Those years were defined by winding highways, mountain passes dusted in snow, and road trips that became my lifeline. Whenever I could, I’d escape the city and follow the open road — from turquoise lakes and pine-scented trails to small prairie towns and adventures further afield. These stories from my time in Canada capture not just the places I explored, but the rhythm of a life lived between mountains and miles.

Cuba
Cuba was a holiday steeped in rhythm and colour — days spent under the Varadero sun, where the sea shimmered like glass and life moved to the sound of salsa. From breezy coco taxi rides along the coast to the rumble of classic cars on the road to Havana, every moment felt like stepping into a living postcard. In Havana, time seemed to slow — cobblestone streets, pastel façades, and music spilling from every doorway. The night ended the way it should in Cuba: dancing at a piano bar, laughter mingling with the melody, and the warm hum of a place that knows how to live fully, beautifully, and without hurry.

Mexico
My journey into Mexico began on the road — crossing the border and following the ribbon of highway that winds its way down the Baja California peninsula. It was a trip shaped by the rhythm of the road: desert landscapes meeting turquoise seas, sleepy fishing villages, and long stretches where the horizon seemed endless. Traveling by car offered a slower, more intimate way to experience Mexico — where every stop revealed a story, a flavour, or a friendship waiting to be found. These reflections capture the beauty and spirit of that journey, from the wild coastlines of Baja to the heart of Mexico’s warm, welcoming soul.

United States of America
The United States has always felt like an open invitation to explore — vast highways stretching from coast to coast, each turn leading to something entirely new. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to road trip through many states, tracing routes that wind through desert plains, mountain ranges, and along rugged coastlines. From small towns steeped in charm to cities that pulse with energy, every journey offered a glimpse into a different rhythm of American life. These stories are a reflection of those adventures — of open roads, unexpected stops, and the freedom that comes with simply setting out to see where the road will lead.
