Zorali Trailblazer Sandal
My Favourite Travel Footwear Discovery: Zorali Trailblazer Sandals
Sometimes, it's the things you don’t pack that teach you the most. I had been eyeing off the Zorali Trailblazer Sandals for some time, but the online ordering aspect kind of scared me off. With a size 11 foot and a wide one at that, would they fit? And what if they came and they weren’t what I had hoped. The hassle of returning would be painful, but when my cousin bought out her Zorali Trailblazer Sandals while we were walking the Portuguese Camino, I was impressed, and then annoyed with myself. At the end of each day all I was craving was a shoe I could wear that would allow me to air my feet, didn’t confine them to the full coverage of a sneaker and were more sturdy than the Havianna’s I had purchased in Viana do Castelo. And then she even wore them for a day while we were walking. There she was, breezing along cobbled paths and dusty trails in these earthy, minimalist sandals while I was struggling with socks, blister plasters, and sore toes. Jealous? Absolutely.
I finally wised up just before my next trip, a tropical trio across Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Singapore at the tail end of 2024. I purchased my own pair, and honestly? I wore them for almost 90% of that adventure. From temple hopping in Anuradhapura to riding the countryside of Penang and exploring the streets of Singapore, these sandals became my go-to, and I couldn’t believe how insanely comfortable they were.
No blisters. No aching feet. And—this is huge for me—not a whisper of hip pain. As someone who battles hip tension and body fatigue on long travel days, I’m used to needing recovery time after a full day on my feet. But with these sandals, I was pain-free, energised, and ready for more, day after day.
They’ve got that rugged-yet-soft magic—enough tread for jungle paths and urban walks, yet light and flexible like you’re barefoot on the beach. And while they’re an obvious choice for warm destinations (and perfect for slipping on and off during temple visits or beach stops), I’d even consider them with thick waterproof socks for cold-weather travel. Yes, really.
The Zorali Trailblazer Sandals have officially earned their place as the first thing I’ll pack for any trip involving sunshine, walking, or general movement. They're practical, versatile, and surprisingly stylish. If you’re a traveler who values comfort but doesn’t want to compromise on design—or if you’ve ever limped through a holiday wishing you’d chosen different shoes—take it from me: don’t wait for post-trip regret. Get them before you go.
